I am about the 3 people away from being the worst person on the cross country. But the sport is still fun for me. You can ask me, Luc why do you still play that sport then? I have many many reasons, but the biggest one is connecting with other people. Through the couple of months that I have played cross country. I have had so much fun. From the talks that we had during stretches, to the bus rides goofing around, it’s been fun. I want everyone to play a sport and I’m going to tell you how to make it the best experience ever.
A reason that I now talk to a lot of seniors is because I connected and talked with them at cross country. They a lot of the times give me advice about the techniques they use while playing the sport. This helped me get a long a lot. If you have a connection to other players and teammates they cheer you on and it gives you the motivation to play and compete with other players.
Have fun with a sport. Always make the best out of every moment. During some of our hardest workouts of the year. As I would run past I sometimes smile at my other teammates to make a fun time out the tired feeling we had. When I talked about our bus rides that is fun some of the fun began. Some of the times we were really tired after a race. I sat with one of my friends who liked anime, he had ear buds that we could share and we watched anime back until it was dark (our races took about 2 hours to get home)
I enjoyed anime by meeting a new person on a sports team I wouldn’t have without the sports team. I’m saying I wouldn’t have enjoyed anime if it wasn’t for my friends that I made
The conditioning of the sport makes you better at the sport (ex) You also get better at the sport the more fun you have with the sport. As you work with the sport you still have to try. Because for most sports there are states and in states you have an experience of your life. Going out to a different state and playing your sport and competing with the best of the teams. How could it be any better? The training part of things, there are only a couple of guys that go out a play for the team. If you are on the JV or freshmen team you don’t go to state because only the best of the best can go. That’s why you have to train really really hard to get on that varsity team.
I play sports because I have always worked the hardest in them. I always have played sports. Ever since I was a little kid I have always played a sport. It’s something that has stuck with me. I love sports because I try and have fun. Try a sport and take tips and see if you like it.
